I didn't do a lot of sewing the last two weeks. But there was a good reason to be away from my sewing machine. My husband and I stayed in London last week.
Christmas shopping wasn't our goal though we did some window shopping of course. We just wanted some change of scenery. All day long we were walking around and of course - like every time we are staying in London - we also visited this famous place.
As one might expect for a plant addict, it was Kew Gardens. In winter too, this botanical garden with its big park is worth a visit. Later on I'll show some pictures in my garden blog .
In fact there is a quilt shop in the neighbourhood of Kew Gardens, but I finally prefered to visit "Liberty" in order to have a short look at fabrics and other things related to patchwork and quilting. I didn't need anything but there always is a certain curiosity ;-) !
Surprisingly the variety of fabrics wasn't too big and having in mind all the fabrics in my stash at home, I didn't buy anything!
In some buildings even the various patterns on the ground didn't make me feel like sewing.
Apart from two Christmas stars which I tried to make before we left (a nice sewing friend showed me how to do it), almost nothing was done in my sewing corner.
It's about time for the traditional baking as Christmas isn't far away....so I now have to hurry up to the kitchen where I'll be staying for a while :-) !
