Neue UFOs... / New UFOs...
Ooops, it already is a month since my last posting. But of course I wasn't lazy during these weeks. Two quilts have finally been finished and already given away. Again it now is the season for sewing classes and there I made this little Storm at Sea top. This time I didn't have any difficulties, due to the perfect ruler. However, I would never think of making a large quilt with this pattern!
In between I used the pastel charms from my stash. This will be a baby quilt too.
All the remaining tiny bits of fabric of the mentioned pastel quilt will probably make another little quilt too. Of course I 'll need some more fabric (from my stash!) for it. At the moment I'm putting the scraps away.....and again I've got a new UFO ;-) !
I didn't want to cut this fabric with all the animals. In order to use it, I just made a border and then stippled the inner part of this little children quilt.
I urgently had to have some pouches in stock. So I started to sew some. For the first time I used plasticized cotton fabric which in the beginning caused some problems. Quite often I had to stitch the same line twice as the stitches were irregular and skipped.
Today I am finishing the binding of the above potholders. They are a little Christmas gift and will soon go to a friend who is a tomatoe expert. In the evenings I continue to knit baby sweaters for Afghanistan. What was meant as a compensation for my PIF gift has become an activity which I enjoy very much.
