Meine Freundin Claudia ist aus den USA zurück und hat mir, nebst dem gewünschten Ruler, zu meiner grossen Freude viele Anregungen für neue Quilts mitgebracht. Wenn doch bloss mehr Zeit für's Nähen da wäre :-) !!
My best friend Claudia has just returned from the USA. Apart from the ordered ruler she also brought several quilt magazines and a book with a lot of inspiration. I am so happy! If I only had more spare time for sewing :-) !
Diesen neuen Ruler sah ich per Zufall mal auf dem Blog von Heirloom Creations. Das Zuschneiden der Stoffe für gerundete Muster ist so einfach und bequem, dass ich mir einen solchen Ruler wünschte. Nun werde ich ihn demnächst ausprobieren.
This ruler I saw by accident on Heirloom Creations blog. The cutting with this ruler is so comfortable and easy and therefore it was on my wish-list. Soon I'll try it out.
Aber ich darf nicht nur Neues ausprobieren, sondern muss auch noch etliche Tops fertig quilten. Unter anderem diesen grossen Quilt (einen Lasagne-Quilt, genannt nach dem jelly roll race quilt)), den ich für ein Geburtstagsgeschenk im Mai fertigmachen will.
However I shouldn't try out new things only, but finally finish some more tops. Among others I have to quilt this big jelly roll quilt (we call it here Lasagne quilt, according to the technique of the jelly roll race) which will be a birthday gift in May.
Der Mistery BOM, organisiert von Cotton & Color für Januar ist fertig. Nächste Woche kommt der neue Block für Februar. Bin gespannt was es diesmal sein wird.
The Mistery BOM for January , organized by the quilt and fabric shop Cotton & Color, is ready to be shown. Next week we'll get the block for February. I'm curious to see what kind of block it will be.
