Die Abende der letzten Woche waren sehr kühl und da die Heizung nicht richtig funktionierte, habe ich mit Holz eingefeuert. So war es gemütlich warm und ich konnte ein paar Täschchen in Angriff nehmen, die für einen Kirchenbazar gedacht sind. Den "Prototyp" habe ich letztes Wochenende genäht, aber noch habe ich Verbesserungen zu machen, damit ich nicht zuviel mit der Hand nähen muss (die Schmerzen in den Fingern kommen schnell).

We had rather cool nights last week and our heating didn't work well. So every evening I made a fire and worked on my purses which I want to give for a charity sale. The prototype was made last weekend but there are still some improvements to be done. The goal is not to have to sew by hand as my fingers quickly start to hurt.

Mit der Maschine wurden die Stöffchen und das Vlies abgesteppt. Das Schrägband habe ich von Hand angenäht und das Futter wird ebenfalls von Hand hineingenäht. Letzteres muss ich jetzt noch tun.

I topstitched the fabrics with the machine. But the binding was sewed by hand and the lining has to be done the same way. The latter I haven't finished yet.


So sieht schlussendlich das Endresultat aus. Ich variiere nun mit verschiedenen Grössen.

Ich dachte, dass das Futternähen heute meine Arbeit würde. Aber als ich frühmorgens sah, welch wunderbarer Tag sich ankündigte, liess ich das Nähen bleiben. Ich zog es vor noch die Herbstsonne draussen zu geniessen....

Actually I thought to finish the lining today. But when I woke up this morning and saw what a beautiful day was going to be, I didn't want to sew. I prefered to stay outside and enjoy the wonderful autumn sun....
